FLYSOUND presents The MINI John Cooper Works Turbo Library.
We’ve taken our big bag of recording tools, rigged them to a very feisty little Mini, and then let rip on the racing track. The result is a profusion of audio brilliance that sits ready for any project incorporating the sound of driving with attitude. The mics comprised Neumann U87s, Sennheiser MKH 416, The Amethyst, and Electro-Voice ND 868. The recording system was our Sound Devices 788T and Aaton Cantar X2.
For the interior, we deployed a quadraphonic sound recording set up. For the engine, it was Flysound’s signature set up (2 Neumann U87 studio mics in just the right places) under the hood. Great things come in small packages, and we captured the mighty Mini tearing up the track in a high-spirited, frisky manner, with all her roaring, rumbling, skidding and zooming sounds, there in the versatile cut. Enjoy!
A lite and mixed version of this suite is also available, comprising 15 authentic stereo files for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of MINI John Cooper Works.
